  46.        SpeedShop.

  48.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  49.        subsystems marked with the letter ``D'' as ``default'' are
  50.        the ones that are installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.
  51.        To install a different set of subsystems, use the
  52.        ``install,'' ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in
  53.        _i_n_s_t to customize the list of subsystems to be installed,
  54.        then select the ``go'' menu item.

  56.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to

  93.        All of the subsystems for SpeedShop can be installed using
  94.        IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the
  95.        _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation
  96.        instructions.

  99.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  101.        SpeedShop has the following prerequisites:

  103.           +o You must be running release IRIX 6.2, or later to use
  104.             this product.
  105.  
  106.           +o Since performance experiments are performed on
  107.             executables that you build, you should have the MIPSpro
  108.             Compilers, release 7.2, or later installed.
  109.  
  110.           +o On IRIX 6.2, you should install patch 3156 (kernel
  111.             rollup) and patches 1404, 1645, 2000, 2420 and 3083
  112.             (POSIX and pthreads library).

  114.           +o On IRIX 6.3, you should install patch 2973 (kernel
  115.             rollup), patch 1645 (POSIX header files) and patch 2420
  116.             (pthreads library).

  140.             runtime) or the 7.2.1 compiler installation, and patch
